Martins Ferry is located at approximately 40.096° North latitude and 80.725° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 6,232 residents, and the city covers about 2.33 square miles (6.03 sq km). Martins Ferry was settled in the late 18th century and incorporated in 1835.
