Where is Midway Located?
Midway is a city located in Wasatch County, Utah, the United States. It lies in the Heber Valley between the Wasatch Mountains to the west and the Uinta Mountains to the east. Midway is approximately 45 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, 15 miles south of Park City, and about 5 miles west of Heber City. The city is located at approximately 40.546° North latitude and 111.474° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 5,304 residents, and the city covers about 4.51 square miles (11.68 sq km). Midway was settled in the 1850s by Mormon pioneers and incorporated as a city in 1909. The community developed as an agricultural settlement, with farming, ranching, and dairy production supported by the fertile Heber Valley and mountain water resources. Today, Midway combines its historic small-town character with tourism and outdoor recreation. The surrounding Wasatch Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop and create opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, and scenic drives.
