Green is about 10 miles south, while Barberton is around 8 miles northwest. New Franklin is positioned near 40.950° North latitude and 81.532° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 14,387 residents. The city covers about 26.36 square miles, or 68.27 square kilometers, including land and water. The Portage Lakes area is one of the city's best-known geographic features, with several connected lakes surrounded by wooded hills and residential communities.
