North Bend is a city located in King County, Washington, the United States. It lies in the Snoqualmie Valley at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, about 30 miles east of Seattle and roughly 10 miles east of Snoqualmie. Snoqualmie is about 5 miles west, while Issaquah is around 15 miles southwest. North Bend is positioned near 47.496° North latitude and 121.786° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 7,461 residents. The city covers about 4.46 square miles, or 11.55 square kilometers, including land and water. Mount Si is the most recognizable natural landmark near the city and rises more than 4,000 feet above the valley. The Mount Si trail is one of the region's most popular hiking destinations. Nearby Snoqualmie Falls is another major attraction, with a dramatic waterfall and surrounding parkland. North Bend was incorporated in 1909 and developed as a railroad, timber, and agricultural community. A unique fact about the city is its connection to the television series Twin Peaks, which used North Bend and nearby communities as filming locations.
