Oak Harbor is a city located in Island County, Washington, the United States. It lies on the northeast coast of Whidbey Island in Puget Sound, about 60 miles north of Seattle and roughly 35 miles south of Bellingham. Coupeville is about 12 miles south, while Anacortes is around 20 miles north by road. Oak Harbor is positioned near 48.293° North latitude and 122.643° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 24,622 residents. The city covers about 11.53 square miles, or 29.86 square kilometers, including land and water. Oak Harbor's waterfront location provides views across the Salish Sea toward the mainland and nearby islands. Deception Pass State Park is located at the northern end of Whidbey Island and is one of the area's best-known natural attractions.
