Oregon is a city located in Lucas County, Ohio, the United States. It lies along Lake Erie in northwestern Ohio, about 7 miles east of downtown Toledo and roughly 55 miles south of Detroit, Michigan. Maumee is about 15 miles southwest, while Perrysburg is around 15 miles southwest. Oregon is positioned near 41.643° North latitude and 83.486° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 20,952 residents. The city covers about 30.81 square miles, or 79.80 square kilometers. Oregon has a long industrial history connected to manufacturing, energy, shipping, and the Port of Toledo area. Its location along Lake Erie also provides access to wetlands, beaches, marinas, and wildlife habitat. Maumee Bay State Park is a major nearby attraction with hiking trails, beaches, fishing, camping, and birdwatching. Oregon was incorporated as a village in 1957 and became a city in 1959.
