Providence is a city located in Cache County, Utah, the United States. It lies in northern Utah at the western base of the Wasatch Mountains, within the Cache Valley and the Logan metropolitan area. Logan is about 5 miles north, while Hyrum is roughly 7 miles south and Brigham City is about 35 miles southwest. Providence is positioned near 41.706° North latitude and 111.817° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 7,507 residents. The city covers about 4.69 square miles, or 12.15 square kilometers. Providence was settled in 1855 by Mormon pioneers and incorporated as a city in 1869.
