Robertsdale is a city located in Baldwin County, Alabama, the United States. It lies in the central part of Baldwin County, about 25 miles northeast of Gulf Shores and roughly 30 miles east of Mobile. Daphne is around 15 miles southwest, while Foley is about 15 miles south. Robertsdale is positioned near 30.554° North latitude and 87.711° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 6,848 residents. The city covers about 22.25 square miles, or 57.63 square kilometers. Robertsdale was incorporated in 1921 and developed as an agricultural and transportation center in Baldwin County. The community grew around rail and road connections that linked inland farms with Mobile and the growing Gulf Coast communities. Agriculture remains important to the surrounding area, with fields, nurseries, cattle farms, and other rural properties spread across the county. A unique feature of Robertsdale is its location at a crossroads between the inland communities of Baldwin County and the beaches of the Alabama Gulf Coast.
