Tipp City is a city located in Miami County, Ohio, the United States. It lies in the Miami Valley of western Ohio, about 15 miles north of Dayton and roughly 25 miles south of Sidney. Troy is about 8 miles north, while Vandalia is approximately 7 miles south of Tipp City. The city is located at 39.9584° North latitude and 84.1722° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 10,541 residents. Tipp City covers about 7.64 square miles, or approximately 19.79 square kilometers. The surrounding landscape includes fertile farmland, wooded areas, streams, and the Great Miami River valley. Tipp City was originally known as Tippecanoe City and grew in connection with the Miami and Erie Canal and later railroad transportation.
