Washington Terrace is a city located in Weber County, Utah, the United States. It is in northern Utah, directly south of Ogden and about 40 miles north of Salt Lake City. Washington Terrace lies at approximately 41.173° North latitude and 111.976° West longitude. The city had 9,098 residents in the 2020 Census and covers about 1.57 square miles, or 4.07 square kilometers. Washington Terrace was developed in the mid-20th century as a residential community near Hill Air Force Base and the growing Ogden area. Its compact city limits are surrounded by other communities in the Ogden metropolitan area, including South Ogden, Riverdale, and Roy. The city sits on the western side of the Wasatch Mountains, giving residents quick access to mountain scenery, hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities. Nearby Ogden River provides another important natural feature. Ogden's historic downtown, Ogden Nature Center, and George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park are among the attractions within a short drive.
