Where is Whitehall Located?
Whitehall is a city located in Franklin County, Ohio, the United States. It is in central Ohio, about 6 miles east of downtown Columbus, 8 miles northeast of Groveport, and approximately 12 miles west of Reynoldsburg. Whitehall lies at approximately 39.969° North latitude and 82.885° West longitude. The city had 11,353 residents in the 2020 Census and covers about 5.84 square miles, or 15.13 square kilometers. Whitehall was incorporated as a village in 1947 and became a city in 1972. The community grew rapidly during the 20th century as Columbus expanded eastward. Its location near major transportation routes and the former Rickenbacker-area military facilities helped shape its development. Today, Whitehall is a compact suburban community with residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, schools, and parks. The city is close to Franklin Park and the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, while downtown Columbus is only a short drive away. Nearby attractions also include the Ohio Statehouse, COSI, and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum.
