Wickliffe is a city located in Lake County, Ohio, the United States. It is in northeastern Ohio, about 13 miles northeast of downtown Cleveland, 7 miles southwest of Mentor, and approximately 20 miles northwest of Chardon. Wickliffe lies at approximately 41.605° North latitude and 81.469° West longitude. The city had 12,750 residents in the 2020 Census and covers about 4.91 square miles, or 12.72 square kilometers. Wickliffe was settled in the early 19th century and incorporated as a city in 1950. Its location near Lake Erie and several major transportation routes helped the community grow as the Cleveland metropolitan area expanded eastward. Wickliffe has a mix of established residential neighborhoods, commercial areas, parks, and industrial sites. The city is close to Lake Erie, with nearby lakefront destinations offering fishing, boating, walking trails, and scenic views. Nearby attractions include the James A.
