Woods Cross is a city located in Davis County, Utah, the United States. It is in northern Utah along the Wasatch Front, about 10 miles north of downtown Salt Lake City, 5 miles south of Bountiful, and approximately 10 miles west of the Wasatch Mountains. Woods Cross lies at approximately 40.871° North latitude and 111.892° West longitude. The city had 11,497 residents in the 2020 Census and covers about 3.10 square miles, or 8.03 square kilometers. Woods Cross was incorporated in 1935 and developed from an agricultural settlement into a suburban community as the Salt Lake City metropolitan area expanded. Its location along major transportation corridors has contributed to residential, commercial, and industrial growth. The city is situated between the Great Salt Lake to the west and the Wasatch Mountains to the east, providing access to a wide range of outdoor landscapes.
