Wyoming is a city located in Hamilton County, Ohio, the United States. It is in southwestern Ohio, about 10 miles north of downtown Cincinnati, 8 miles west of Loveland, and approximately 15 miles southwest of Mason. Wyoming lies at approximately 39.228° North latitude and 84.477° West longitude. The city had 8,261 residents in the 2020 Census and covers about 2.82 square miles, or 7.30 square kilometers. Wyoming was incorporated as a village in 1874 and became a city in 1951. The community developed as a residential suburb of Cincinnati, with the arrival of rail transportation helping encourage growth during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, Wyoming is known for its historic homes, mature trees, parks, schools, and neighborhood-oriented downtown. The city has a strong connection to Cincinnati while maintaining its own local identity and community institutions.
