Davison is a city located in Genesee County, Michigan, the United States. It is about 10 miles east of Flint, 15 miles southwest of Lapeer, and roughly 65 miles northwest of Detroit. Davison is located at approximately 43.0348° North latitude and 83.5180° West longitude. The city covers about 2.93 square miles (7.59 sq km) and had 4,655 residents in the 2020 Census. The surrounding area has gently rolling land, farmland, wooded areas, and small lakes typical of eastern Michigan. Davison began as a settlement in the 1840s and was named for Judge Norman Davison, an early landowner in the area. The community grew with agriculture, railroads, and local businesses. Today, downtown Davison has historic buildings, shops, restaurants, and community spaces. Davison City Park and nearby regional recreation areas provide places for walking, sports, picnics, and family activities.
