East Wenatchee is a city located in Douglas County, Washington, the United States. It sits along the eastern side of the Columbia River in central Washington, directly across from Wenatchee. The city is about 3 miles from downtown Wenatchee and roughly 120 miles east of Seattle. East Wenatchee is located at approximately 47.425° North latitude and 120.310° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,658 residents. The city covers about 3.83 square miles, or 9.92 square kilometers. The surrounding Columbia River Valley is known for its dry climate, sunny weather, and extensive fruit orchards. The Columbia River forms a major geographic feature west of the city, while the Cascade Mountains rise farther to the west. Rock Island and the Rocky Reach area are nearby along the river.
