Edgewood is a city located in Pierce County, Washington, the United States. It lies on a wooded plateau east of Tacoma and north of Puyallup in the South Sound region. Downtown Tacoma is about 12 miles west, while Puyallup is roughly 7 miles south and Federal Way is about 15 miles northwest. Edgewood is located at approximately 47.25° North latitude and 122.29° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,530 residents. The city covers about 8.11 square miles, or 21.00 square kilometers. Edgewood is known for its rolling terrain, mature trees, open spaces, and primarily residential neighborhoods. The city's elevated position provides views toward Mount Rainier and the Cascade Range on clear days.
