Gig Harbor is about 12 miles northwest of Tacoma and roughly 40 miles southwest of Seattle. The city is part of the Tacoma metropolitan area and is connected to the mainland by the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Gig Harbor lies at approximately 47.330° North latitude and 122.579° West longitude.
