Grandview is a city located in Yakima County, Washington, the United States. It sits in the lower Yakima Valley of south-central Washington, about 30 miles southeast of Yakima and roughly 45 miles northwest of the Tri-Cities. The city is surrounded by orchards, vineyards, farms, and other agricultural land. Grandview is located at approximately 46.251° North latitude and 119.902° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 10,862 residents. The city covers about 6.31 square miles, or 16.34 square kilometers, and is primarily land. Grandview was incorporated in 1915 and developed as an agricultural community supported by irrigation from the Yakima River. Fruit growing, wine production, and other forms of agriculture remain important to the local economy. Nearby attractions include the Yakima River, Prosser's wine country, and the agricultural communities of Sunnyside and Prosser. The city's location along Interstate 82 also provides direct connections to Yakima, the Tri-Cities, and other communities across central Washington.
