Grandville is a city located in Kent County, Michigan, the United States. It lies in western Michigan along the Grand River, about 8 miles southwest of downtown Grand Rapids and roughly 30 miles east of Lake Michigan. Grandville is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan area and is close to Interstate 196, Interstate 96, and U.S. Route 131. The city is located at approximately 42.909° North latitude and 85.763° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 16,083 residents. Grandville covers about 7.26 square miles, or 18.80 square kilometers, including land and water. The community was settled in the 1830s and incorporated as a city in 1933. Its location along the Grand River helped shape its early development. Today, Grandville has a mix of residential neighborhoods, commercial areas, parks, and riverfront spaces.
