Ironwood is a city located in Gogebic County, Michigan, the United States. It lies in the western Upper Peninsula, directly near the Wisconsin state line and about 95 miles west of Marquette. Ironwood is part of the Gogebic Range and sits near the Montreal River, which forms part of the Michigan-Wisconsin border. The city is located at approximately 46.454° North latitude and 90.171° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 4,898 residents. Ironwood covers about 6.82 square miles, or 17.66 square kilometers.
