Where is Lincoln Located?
Lincoln is a city located in Talladega County, with portions also extending into Calhoun and Cleburne counties, Alabama, the United States. It lies in east-central Alabama about 50 miles east of Birmingham and roughly 20 miles north of Talladega. The city is located at approximately 33.613° North latitude and 86.118° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 6,629 residents, and Lincoln covers about 21.23 square miles (54.99 sq km). The community was incorporated in 1911 and developed near the railroads and industrial sites that supported growth in the surrounding area. Lincoln's location near Logan Martin Lake gives the city access to boating, fishing, camping, and other water-based recreation. The nearby Appalachian foothills provide a landscape of wooded hills and valleys. One of the region's best-known attractions is Talladega Superspeedway, located a short drive south of the city and known for major NASCAR racing events. The International Motorsports Hall of Fame is also located at the speedway complex.
