It lies on the western edge of Snohomish County along Possession Sound, about 25 miles north of Seattle and about 5 miles southwest of Everett. Lynnwood is roughly 7 miles south, while Edmonds is about 6 miles southeast. Mukilteo is positioned near 47.948° North latitude and 122.304° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 21,151 residents.
