Tarrant is a city located in Jefferson County, Alabama, the United States. It lies in central Alabama, about 6 miles northeast of downtown Birmingham and roughly 10 miles south of Gardendale. Center Point is about 7 miles east, while Irondale is approximately 8 miles southeast of Tarrant. The city is located at 33.5843° North latitude and 86.7681° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 5,000 residents. Tarrant covers about 6.17 square miles, or approximately 15.98 square kilometers.
