Tuscumbia is a city located in Colbert County, Alabama, the United States. It lies in the Shoals region of northwestern Alabama, about 75 miles west of Huntsville and roughly 65 miles southeast of Memphis, Tennessee. Sheffield is about 5 miles northeast, while Florence is approximately 7 miles northeast of Tuscumbia. Muscle Shoals is about 5 miles east of the city. Tuscumbia is located at approximately 34.7312° North latitude and 87.7020° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 9,264 residents. Tuscumbia covers about 8.39 square miles, or approximately 21.73 square kilometers.
