Albion is a city located in Calhoun County, Michigan, the United States. The city is situated in south-central Michigan along Interstate 94 and the Kalamazoo River. It is approximately 12 miles (19 km) west of Marshall, 22 miles (35 km) southwest of Battle Creek, and about 40 miles (64 km) southeast of Lansing. Albion is located at 42.2431° North latitude and 84.7530° West longitude. According to the 2020 United States Census, the city had a population of 7,700. Albion covers approximately 4.51 square miles (11.68 sq km). The city is best known as the home of Albion College, a nationally recognized liberal arts institution founded in 1835, and for its beautifully preserved Victorian architecture.
