Coldwater is a city located in Branch County, Michigan, the United States. It is the county seat of Branch County and is about 45 miles south of Jackson and 55 miles southwest of Ann Arbor. Coldwater is located at approximately 41.9403° North latitude and 85.0005° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 12,840 residents, and the city covers about 8.12 square miles (21.03 sq km). The area around Coldwater has many farms, wooded areas, and small lakes. The city was settled in the 1830s and incorporated in 1849.
