Where is Saline Located?
Saline is a city located in Washtenaw County, Michigan, the United States. It lies in southeastern Michigan, about 10 miles southwest of Ann Arbor and roughly 40 miles west of Detroit. Milan is about 10 miles south, while Ypsilanti is around 15 miles northeast. Saline is positioned near 42.167° North latitude and 83.781° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 8,948 residents. The city covers about 4.33 square miles, or 11.21 square kilometers. Saline was settled in the 1820s and incorporated as a city in 1931. Its early development was connected to agriculture, milling, salt production, and the Saline River. Railroad connections later helped the community grow as a regional commercial center.
