Santa Fe is a city located in Galveston County in the U.S. state of Texas, United States. The city was established in the late nineteenth century following the expansion of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway, from which the community takes its name. Santa Fe developed as an agricultural settlement and later grew as a residential community within the greater Houston–Galveston metropolitan region.
