Sharon is a city located in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, the United States. It lies in western Pennsylvania near the Ohio state line and within the Shenango Valley. Sharon is about 15 miles northeast of Youngstown, Ohio, 20 miles south of New Castle, and roughly 65 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The city is located at 41.2320° North latitude and 80.4937° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,147 residents. Sharon covers about 2.2 square miles (5.7 square kilometers), with most of the city consisting of land. The Shenango River runs through the valley and has influenced the area’s settlement and industrial development. Buhl Farm Park is one of the city’s best-known recreational attractions, offering trails, open fields, gardens, and outdoor facilities.
