Titusville is a city located in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, the United States. It lies in northwestern Pennsylvania, about 35 miles southeast of Erie and roughly 45 miles southwest of Jamestown, New York. Oil City is about 20 miles south, while Meadville is approximately 25 miles west of Titusville. The city is located at 41.6270° North latitude and 79.6737° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 5,418 residents. Titusville covers about 2.83 square miles, or approximately 7.33 square kilometers. The surrounding landscape includes wooded hills, streams, farmland, and the Oil Creek Valley. Titusville became famous after the Drake Well was completed nearby in 1859, helping launch the modern commercial petroleum industry.
