Crestwood is a city located in St. Louis County, Missouri, the United States. It lies about 12 miles southwest of downtown St. Louis and roughly 8 miles west of the Mississippi River. Crestwood is surrounded by communities such as Affton, Sappington, Sunset Hills, and Webster Groves. The city is located at approximately 38.5569° North latitude and 90.3812° West longitude. Crestwood covers about 3.75 square miles (9.71 sq km) and had 11,912 residents in the 2020 Census. The area has gently rolling land, mature trees, residential neighborhoods, and small creeks. Crestwood was incorporated as a city in 1949 after developing from a rural area into a suburban community. Its location along Interstate 44 and nearby major roads helped support residential and commercial growth. Grant's Farm, a historic property associated with the Busch family, is nearby and is one of the area's best-known attractions. Laumeier Sculpture Park is also close to Crestwood and combines outdoor art with walking trails and green space.
