Dellwood is a city located in St. Louis County, Missouri, the United States. It is in north St. Louis County, about 10 miles northwest of downtown St. Louis and close to Ferguson, Jennings, Black Jack, and Hazelwood. Dellwood is located at approximately 38.7563° North latitude and 90.2766° West longitude. The city covers about 1.04 square miles (2.68 sq km) and had 4,914 residents in the 2020 Census. The community has a mostly residential landscape with established neighborhoods and commercial areas along major roads. Dellwood was incorporated in March 1951 as St. Louis County expanded after World War II. Its location near Interstate 270 and West Florissant Avenue gives residents access to other parts of the St. Louis metropolitan area. Dellwood Park is one of the city's main recreation areas and provides space for sports and community activities. The city is also close to the Missouri River and several regional parks. Downtown St. Louis, Forest Park, and the St. Louis Zoo are within a short drive, giving Dellwood residents access to many major attractions in the region.
