It lies in the inner western suburbs of St. Louis, about 12 miles west of downtown St. Louis and roughly 5 miles north of Clayton. University City is about 6 miles southeast, while Creve Coeur is around 4 miles west. Olivette is positioned near 38.666° North latitude and 90.376° West longitude.
