Park Hills is a city located in St. Francois County, Missouri, the United States. It lies in the eastern Ozarks, about 70 miles south of St. Louis and roughly 30 miles northwest of Farmington. Desloge is around 3 miles west, while Bonne Terre is about 8 miles north. Park Hills is positioned near 37.855° North latitude and 90.518° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 8,861 residents. The city covers about 12.07 square miles, or 31.26 square kilometers. Park Hills was formed through the consolidation of several communities, including Flat River, Esther, Elvins, and Park Hills, in 1994. The area's history is closely tied to lead mining, which shaped settlement, employment, and transportation across St. Francois County.
