Pevely is a city located in Jefferson County, Missouri, the United States. It lies in eastern Missouri along the Mississippi River, about 30 miles south of downtown St. Louis and roughly 10 miles north of Festus. Herculaneum is around 3 miles north, while Crystal City is about 8 miles south. Pevely is positioned near 38.286° North latitude and 90.395° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 5,158 residents. The city covers about 5.51 square miles, or 14.27 square kilometers. Pevely developed as a small river community in the Mississippi River valley, with transportation, manufacturing, and local commerce shaping its growth.
