Savannah is a city located in Andrew County, Missouri, the United States. It is in the northwestern part of the state, about 13 miles north of St. Joseph and roughly 65 miles north of Kansas City. The city is located at 39.9442° North latitude and 94.8308° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 4,838 residents. Savannah covers about 4.22 square miles (10.93 square kilometers), with nearly all of its area consisting of land. The Andrew County Courthouse and historic downtown are notable local landmarks. Savannah also serves as the county seat of Andrew County. A unique fact about the city is its connection to Jesse James, who was reportedly treated by a local doctor in Savannah after being shot in the area during the Civil War.
