Sheridan is a city located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, the United States. It lies in the South Platte River Valley just south of Denver and between Englewood and Littleton. Sheridan is about 8 miles south of downtown Denver, 3 miles west of Aurora, and roughly 15 miles north of Highlands Ranch. The city is located at approximately 39.6478° North latitude and 105.0175° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 6,105 residents. Sheridan covers about 2.22 square miles (5.75 square kilometers) of land. The South Platte River and nearby Bear Creek provide important geographic features and outdoor spaces.
