Valley Park is a city located in St. Louis County, Missouri, the United States. It is in the western part of the St. Louis metropolitan area, about 20 miles west of downtown St. Louis and close to Manchester, Ballwin, and Fenton. Valley Park lies at approximately 38.550° North latitude and 90.493° West longitude. The city had 6,291 residents in the 2020 Census and covers about 3.18 square miles, or 8.24 square kilometers. The Meramec River runs along the southern side of the community and is an important geographic feature. Valley Park developed as a transportation and industrial community and later grew into a suburban city within the St. Louis region.
