Portland is a city located in Jay County, Indiana, the United States. It lies in east-central Indiana, about 90 miles northeast of Indianapolis and roughly 40 miles south of Fort Wayne. Muncie is around 35 miles southwest, while Winchester is about 15 miles south. Portland is positioned near 40.434° North latitude and 84.977° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 6,223 residents.
