Tell City is a city located in Perry County, Indiana, the United States. It lies along the Ohio River in southern Indiana, about 45 miles west of Louisville, Kentucky, and roughly 50 miles northeast of Evansville. Cannelton is about 5 miles west, while Santa Claus is approximately 20 miles north of Tell City. The city is located at 37.9514° North latitude and 86.7614° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 7,506 residents. Tell City covers about 6.98 square miles, or approximately 18.08 square kilometers.
