Westfield is a city located in Hamilton County, Indiana, the United States. It is in central Indiana, about 20 miles north of downtown Indianapolis, 8 miles north of Carmel, and approximately 8 miles west of Noblesville. Westfield lies at about 40.042° North latitude and 86.127° West longitude. The city had 54,605 residents in the 2020 Census and covers about 48.36 square miles, or 125.25 square kilometers. Westfield was founded in 1834 by Quakers and became an important stop along early transportation routes through central Indiana. The city later grew from a small agricultural community into one of the larger suburban communities in Hamilton County. Today, Westfield is best known for Grand Park Sports Campus, a major multi-sport complex with fields, courts, trails, and event facilities. The city also has a historic downtown with preserved buildings and local businesses. Nearby attractions include Cool Creek Park, Monon Trail, and Coxhall Gardens.
