Where is Coolidge Located?
Coolidge is a city located in Pinal County, Arizona, the United States. It lies about 60 miles southeast of Phoenix, 20 miles south of Casa Grande, and roughly 65 miles northwest of Tucson. Coolidge is located at approximately 32.9778° North latitude and 111.5176° West longitude. The city covers about 65.99 square miles (170.91 sq km) and had 13,218 residents in the 2020 Census. The surrounding Gila River Valley has a dry desert climate and irrigated agricultural land. Coolidge was founded in 1925 and was named after President Calvin Coolidge. The city developed around farming and the Southern Pacific Railroad. Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, just north of the city, preserves a large ancient adobe structure built by ancestral Sonoran Desert peoples. Coolidge also provides access to major highways connecting the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas.
