Odessa, also known as Odesa, the city was founded in 1794, is the third most populous city, a major seaport, major tourism centre and transport hub, located in south-west of the Ukraine on the northwestern shore of the Black Sea.

Odessa is the administrative centre of Odessa Oblast, It has population of 1,015,826 residents. The population density for which is around 6,139 persons/km2. It covers an area of 162.42 km2 (62.71 sq mi).
