Corning is a city located in Tehama County, California, the United States. It lies about 20 miles south of Red Bluff, 30 miles north of Chico, and roughly 110 miles north of Sacramento. Corning is located at approximately 39.9277° North latitude and 122.1792° West longitude. The city covers about 3.55 square miles (9.19 sq km) and had 7,491 residents in the 2020 Census. The surrounding area is part of the fertile Sacramento Valley and is known for orchards, olive groves, farms, and open agricultural land.
