Where is Red Bluff Located?
Red Bluff is a city located in Tehama County, California, the United States. It lies in the Sacramento Valley along the Sacramento River, about 30 miles south of Redding and roughly 130 miles north of Sacramento. Corning is around 15 miles south, while Cottonwood is about 15 miles north. Red Bluff is positioned near 40.179° North latitude and 122.235° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 14,710 residents. The city covers about 7.55 square miles, or 19.55 square kilometers. Red Bluff was incorporated in 1876 and developed as a river and agricultural center in northern California. The Sacramento River played an important role in the city's early transportation and trade, while nearby ranches and farms shaped the local economy. The city is best known for the Red Bluff Round-Up, one of the largest professional rodeo events in the western United States. Historic downtown Red Bluff contains preserved commercial buildings and sites reflecting the city's 19th-century growth.
