Artesia is a city located in Los Angeles County, California, the United States. The city lies in southeastern Los Angeles County near Interstate 605 and State Route 91. It is approximately 5 miles (8 km) east of Cerritos, 20 miles (32 km) southeast of downtown Los Angeles, and about 18 miles (29 km) northwest of Anaheim. Artesia is located at 33.8658° North latitude and 118.0831° West longitude. According to the 2020 United States Census, the city had a population of 16,395. Artesia covers approximately 1.63 square miles (4.22 sq km).
