Calabasas is a city located in Los Angeles County, California, the United States. It is about 30 miles west of downtown Los Angeles and 15 miles east of Thousand Oaks. Calabasas is located at approximately 34.1367° North latitude and 118.6615° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 23,241 residents, and the city covers about 13.42 square miles (34.75 sq km). Malibu Creek State Park and the Santa Monica Mountains provide major natural attractions near the city. Calabasas was incorporated in 1991 after separating from unincorporated Los Angeles County communities. Its location along the U.S. Route 101 corridor places it between the San Fernando Valley and the Conejo Valley.
