Grand Terrace is a city located in San Bernardino County, California, the United States. It lies in the Inland Empire of Southern California, about 8 miles southwest of San Bernardino and roughly 10 miles southeast of Riverside. The city is situated near the Santa Ana River and the foothills of the Box Springs Mountains. Grand Terrace is part of the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metropolitan area and has convenient access to Interstate 215 and Interstate 10. The city is located at approximately 34.033° North latitude and 117.313° West longitude. The 2020 Census recorded 13,150 residents. Grand Terrace covers about 3.53 square miles, or 9.14 square kilometers, and is primarily land. The community was incorporated as a city in 1978 after residents organized to preserve its local identity. Its elevated neighborhoods provide views across the Inland Empire. Nearby attractions include the Santa Ana River Trail, Box Springs Mountain Reserve Park, California Citrus State Historic Park, and the historic Mission Inn in Riverside.
