Bridge City is a city located in Orange County, Texas, the United States. The city lies in southeastern Texas near the Sabine-Neches Waterway and the Gulf Coast. Bridge City is approximately 20 miles (32 km) west of Orange, 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Beaumont, and around 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Port Arthur. It is located at approximately 30.0205° North latitude and 93.8457° West longitude. According to the 2020 United States Census, the city had a population of 8,640. Bridge City covers about 5.75 square miles (14.89 sq km). The surrounding area is shaped by bayous, waterways, marshes, and coastal prairie. The city was established in the early 20th century and grew as transportation and industry expanded across Orange County.
